Broadland Run
The penultimate event for 2009 was the Broadland Run starting from Postwick Village Hall. The turnout this year was very good with 24 machines starting the event and 6 passengers. The run took the riders around the Broads area of Salhouse, Ranworth over the bridge at Acle and then down to the river at Thurne.
The lunch stop was at The Fox & Hounds Filby who made us very welcome.
The return route took us out to Freethorpe and the marshes going down to the river at Reedham.
Some of the riders took a diversion to visit the Reedham chain ferry which runs throughout the year.
The finish was back at the Postwick Village Hall where Cynthia had set out tea and biscuits.
Our thanks go to Richard for devising the route and backup, Cynthia for admin and tea and biscuits service at the finish. We would also like to thank the visitors from the Essex and Kings Lynn Sections who made the effort to take part.
The weather forecast was thankfully incorrect with bright skies and no rain contrary to the drizzly day originally forecast.
