Dave Rogerson Memorial Run
Another fine day made a good start to this year's Dave Rogerson Memorial Run, starting from the Motorcycle Museum North Walsham. 19 machines made the start with the delayed arrival of 2 others due to a battery failure but they caught up with the run at the lunch stop.
The morning route took us through the Norfolk Broads crossing the Bure at Wroxham then heading off towards Ranworth. The riders came across the local Tractor Club run from Woodbastwick through to Ranworth with a 5mph line of cars stuck behind the tractors.
The route took us through Heggatt and on to Coltishall before heading up past the now redundant but soon to be a prison RAF Coltishall .
The lunch stop was at The Bluebell Public House, North Walsham where a welcome break was taken in their garden.
The afternoon route took us towards the coast through Crostwight towards Bacton then along the coast road to Gimingham. John Essam had a problem with his S8 Sunbeam with oil getting into the distributor. After a clean up he was on his way but broke down again at Felmingham where Richard's pickup came to the rescue.
The awards for the run went to John Marshal for the oldest machine and Alan Gidley for the oldest opposite class and the awards were presented by Jamie Rogerson.

Our thanks go to George and Steve for hosting the run, Richard Greensides for devising the route, Tony Durier for checking the route and Cynthia for sign on and paperwork.
