Deopham Green Run Report
The Deopham Green run took place on a very blustery day starting from the
small village of Deopham Green in South Norfolk.
The early showers were being blown away by a strong south westerly wind with more rain promised for the early afternoon.
There were
17 machines with 2 passengers on the run which was a good turnout considering
the weather forecast. The morning route took us around the Deopham area and
then heading east through Attleborough and Wymondham.
Along the route there was a place of interest marked which was a memorial cross to an American Liberator Bomber which crashed during fog at this spot during WW2. All riders stopped to view the memorial which was situated behind a hedge out of view from passing traffic.

The lunch stop was at the Alfred Munnings at Mendham where a reserved table was put aside for the hungry riders and passengers.

The afternoon route took us south towards Diss passing the Strike School at Burston, and then took in the villages of Kenninghall and Ragmere on our way back to Deopham Green.
Tea, coffee and cakes were available at the finish to round off a very good riding day. Our thanks go to Phil, Daniel and Jacky for organising the route, backup and buffet at the finish.
