Gerry Chapman Run
The annual Gerry Chapman Run had the route organised by Bob & Cynthia with the catering left in the capable hands of Joy Chapman and her many helpers. 16 riders and 2 passengers set off from Jeravoy on a fairly direct westerly route towards Brisley. The route took the riders down the Bure Valley to Aylsham past Blickling Hall towards Corpusty.

The route then headed through Foulsham, Elmham and finally across Brisley Common to the Brisley Bell for lunch. By this time the early morning cloud cover had gone and we were left with clear blue skies and warm autumn sunshine.

The return route headed towards Swanton Morley and then down the Wensum Valley to Lenwade crossing over to Great Witchingham and then Swannington before the final leg past the mill at Buxton where a couple of our riders took time out to admire the scenery.

On returning to Jeravoy there was a large spread of sandwiches and cakes awaiting the riders and passengers plus the traditional raffle. The raffle took place with much hilarity especially when Alan did not get the fruit cake; he had to make do with a polishing mop for the car.
The entrants' fee and raffle money and a couple of donations were put together totaling £97.00 which will be sent off to leukemia research, this being Joy's chosen charity.
Our thanks go to Joy and her many helpers, Cynthia for the admin, Bob for backup and the staff at the Brisley Bell who made us very welcome with excellent food .
