Spring Lamb Run

Someone must be praying to the sun god as the forecast for the previous week said that we would have rain, on the day the weather started sunny and fine and continued like this all day.Sign-on

29 riders with their machines started the run with 7 passengers ranging from a 1925 Douglas to three Triumph Triples.

The morning route took the riders and passengers through Cawston, past Salle Church. through the Stody Estate on their way to the Kings Arms at Blakeney.Kings Arms Blakeney

The sun was still shining at Blakeney allowing the majority of riders to eat outside.

The return route took the riders further along the coast to Stiffkey before they headed inland to Binham, going through some small villages like Kettlestone, Fulmodestone and Hindleveston.

Philip's Special

There were a number of old railway remains on the route as this area was covered at the beginning of the 20th century by the MGN Railway company, the majority of tracks going under the 1960's Beeching axe.

All riders made it back to Harbord Road without any breakdowns , there were a couple of missed turnings but all made it back OK.

BSA Outfit
