Annual Lunch 2010
The Annual Lunch for the Norwich and District Section of the VMCC this year was booked for the Oaklands Hotel, Norwich. 47 people pre booked for the lunch, unfortunately 5 had to drop out at the last minute.
The lunch was based around a Carvery menu with members choosing between 1, 2 or 3 courses.
The gathering in the bar was very lively with all members and partners mixing well.
At 12.30 we were led into the dining room which had 5 ten seater tables set out.
The first course and subsequent courses meant that a table at a time was served or asked to go to the carvery.
After the three courses and coffee Bob stood up and thanked everyone for coming saying that 2009 had been a good year for the section culminating in the Section Secretary Cynthia Forster being awarded the Syd Plevin Trophy, this being for contributions made to a Section. 
He then went on to say that thanks were due to Cynthia and Tony for organising the day's events and that the prospects for 2010 were good as we already have 1/3rd of the pitches taken for our major event, this being the Camping Weekend.
The gathering broke up at 3 o'clock with the consensus of opinion being that this was an ideal venue for next year's Annual Lunch.
