Camping Weekend
This was our most successful ever Camping Weekend, two weeks before the event we had to put a notice on the web site that the campsite was full. The moral being that to enter for next year's event you will have to book early.

The Friday meeting went very well with the arrival of the President Bill Phelps and his wife Jean. At about 6 o'clock the fish and chip van arrived and the social evening began with Cliff providing some light entertainment with his banjo.
The Saturday Run took the 55 riders and machines up the western side of the county to the Muckleburgh Collection at Weyborne where there is a large collection of WW2 army memorabilia.
The return route took the riders south past Salle to Reepham back to the camp site where Jimmy already had the bar open , getting ready for the BBQ. The only incident was the Triumph 1908 combo did not quite have enough puff to get up Ringland Hills , it had to be towed up by the backup car driven by Derek and navigated by Ted Cotton. We kept trying to tell Bill that not all Norfolk is flat.
The BBQ started at 6 o'clock with three BBQ's going at full tilt, Jimmy starting on the second barrel and Peter, Maggie & Cynthia organising the Salad Bar. Throughout the evening Brian & Janet ran the raffle which was well supported by entrants and donations resulting in about 12 prizes.
The Sunday Run was again on a bright sunny morning with 54 entrants going on a local Run with a coffee stop at Richard & Jacquie's house at Spooner Row. The casualty today was Brian's Bennelli which ran out of volts and came back on the trailer. The lunch time BBQ finished off the beer and food and provided a final gathering to thank all the participants and helpers plus the President for coming finalising the details for the Gymkhana which started at 14.30, 8 riders entering this year's competition.
The Gymkhana has its own page of pictures, this year it was won by Roy Arthur for the third year running and in second place was Gary Sleeman, the perpetual trophy was provided by Grace Cardy .
On the following Monday morning a number of campers had stayed on to go and see Wing Commander Ken Wallis at Reymerston Hall. Paul had also organised a trip across for the Breckland Touring Week visitors, there is a full report on its own page.
