Pre 40's Run Report
Seven eligible machines entered for this year's run on a bright but chilly morning and there were another ten non eligible machines which came along to enjoy the first run of the year. The run started with the traditional tea and a bacon roll produced by Diana and her friend in the kitchen, John being busy taking orders.
The morning run took us around the narrow back roads of Tivetshall past the steam museum at Forncett St. Mary.
At lunch times on past events the talk is either about mud on the road, flooded stretches of road or debris such as branches and leaves, this year it was about POTHOLES!!! Some said that one pothole was deep enough to plant a small tree in.

The solos were able to miss the worst potholes but it was not easy with the combo or Morgan as you aim to miss with one wheel but get caught with a shudder at the back wheel. Will Gordon's £100Million fix the byways of Norfolk, me thinks not.
The lunch stop was at Griston at the Waggon & Horses, again they delivered a welcoming and prompt service. The return trip took us around the back roads of Watton and Shipdham before returning to Wramplingham for more tea and cakes.

Our thanks go to John and Diana for hosting the event, Nick for the route , Cynthia for the paperwork and John and Diane for the backup, the only casualty being John's trailer which lost both mudguards on route. This should give him a break from working on the Talbot.
