Shakedown Event
This year's Shakedown event began with a rather wet morning which cleared up just before we started. The rain was replaced by a strong cold wind which whistled across the airfield.

The club flight officer allocated us a good mile of runway in which to run the regularity event and try out for a number of machines which had not been fully tested on the road.
15 entrants took place in the regularity which resulted in three riders clocking a difference of 1.9 seconds between each run. The oldest machines brought the draw down to two machines manufactured in 1958, the result was finally determined by the oldest rider, this year going to Brian Wood, the runner up being Phil Cooper.

The most desirable machine award was organised by Mike Henry , the majority voted for Arthur Livings' EW Douglas.
Our thanks go to Alan , Linda and Bob for time keeping, Cynthia for the admin in the warm clubhouse, Mike for organising the most desirable machine award and Rachael for keeping every one fed and watered.
